Developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG), HTML5 is a core technology of the Internet. Microsoft has announced that Windows 8.0 will be based on HTML5 and many developers such as Apple, Google and Pandora Internet Radio have also announced their commitment to the technology.
