In a time of any unexpected change, let alone the extreme, unprecedented changes we’ve all been facing in recent days, this can be concerning, stressful, and probably a whole bunch of other emotions that may hit us, at times, in waves. Personally, I have a mantra: “You can only control what you can control.” Deep breath. This is the new reality.

So … what can we do to take advantage of this time? Here are some suggestions thatI find to be personally beneficial:

1. Organize

Start with something smallthat you’ve been meaning to do. A drawer, a corner of a room acloset. Don’t do too much, decide on 1 small task. For me, this was my desk and the adjacent corner of the room (where I tend to toss papers thatI’ll deal with later). Once completed I had a sense of tangible, visual accomplishment and felt like I made good use of the time.
2. Evaluate

Look at your credit card statement, cancel all non-essential services (we consider internet and Netflix to be essential, but perhaps cable isn’t!). If there are no early termination fees or other penalties, removing 2 or 10 charges that you may not need can also provide a sense of accomplishment as well as financial relief.

3. QualityTime

Spend quality time with children, pets and loved ones. Yesterday we wentoutside with the kids to kick a ball and watch them run around. It was alovely change of pace!

Some of youmay or may not have been personally impacted the September 11 attacks or the2008 Stock Market/Housing crash, which were also tumultuous times formany. We know that this too shall pass!

When Parking Technology Meets Prime-Time Television

At Parking BOXX, we get calls from all types of industries asking about our parking equipment: from retail, to university campuses, hospitals, and campgrounds. But we have to admit: it’s not every day we get a phone call from a hit television show asking to feature a parking machine , our parking payment machine in a murder mystery show. Much to our surprise, that’s exactly what happened when Private Eyes ,Global hit television series slated to return come spring 2019, reached out.

Now on its third season, the show follows the antics of Matt Shade and Angie Everett. He’s an ex-professional Hockey player, she’s a no-nonsense P.I. They join forces to solve mysteries every week with equal parts wit and humor. Filmed and set in Toronto, the show has a refreshing take on the city—it embraces its nooks and crannies, the glamour as much as the grit, which makes for a fun and authentic portrayal of this vibrant Canadian city.

But to the more pressing question: why would the show, unless it’s building a state-of-the-art parking facility, contact us about parking equipment? As with any good mystery show, the puzzle is always solved by a leap in thought:something about the environment tips the detectives off, and through a series of mental maneuvers, they decipher who the culprit is, catch the bad guy, an drestore justice. Viewers are left satisfied until a new mystery takes centre stage the following week.

Season three, like the other two before it, will be rife with mysteries and suspense at every corner of Matt and Angie’s journey. As it turns out, Private Eyes will not be building the parking garage of our dreams anytime soon. Instead, this upcoming season, ParkingBOXX’s very own parking machine will act as the key to one of its mysteries, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see what the writers come up with.

In seeking a way to remedy the imbalance caused by extended periods of sitting, we implemented the Employee Massage Program, in which our employees sign up for a massage during the workday.

Why Workplace Massage Improves Productivity and Morale

Why massage? The answer to this was easy. By releasing tension accumulated thanks to extended periods of sitting, massage helps alleviate both physiological and psychological stresses. As Matt, one of our employees put it, “Having a sedentary job, I feel like my muscles are joints are stiffening up throughout the day. When we get massages, even if they are only 20 minutes, it definitely gets rid of some aches. After the massage, I feel like I’m ready to get back to work.

Happy employees make for productive workers. Implementing the massage program is a smart solution, creating a win-win situation for both our employees and customers.

Unsurprisingly, we’ve received nothing but positive feedback from our employees. Praise of the stress-alleviating effects include:

We can’t, in fact,because we know that surrounding each member of our Team are groups of peoplethat help the personal growth process in ways that we can’t. This is why welike to get involved with causes that affect our community—particularly thosethat affect our Team members’ friends and families.

Thisquarter, the Team at Parking BOXX culled their efforts to raise funds for DiabetesCanada by donating clothing, accessories, and household items. The collectiondrive was spearheaded by Shannon, our Social Media and Marketing Specialist whois also our charity-drive organizing superstar. She took the time to educate the Team, set up reminders at companyoffices, and motivated everyone to participate. Behind this goal was the desireto support a cause that affected various members of our Team.

“Acouple of co-workers have family and friends that have diabetes,” she said, “Mybest friend also has diabetes. Diabetes is one of those illnesses that createradical changes to your life. And it doesn’t just affect the person who has it.It affects the whole family.”

Accordingto Diabetes Canada, 5.7 million Canadians over the age of twenty are affectedby diabetes. Along with the immediate effects of the illness, like having toregulate one’s diet and glucose levels, having diabetes comes with otherlifestyle changes. Thirty percent of people with diabetes, for example,experience depressive symptoms.

Insupport of the cause, our Team donated everything from clothes, pots and pans,jewelry and hats. Diabetes Canada partners up with Value Village to sell thesedonations and raise money for various diabetes-related causes. Part of themoney goes towards funding diabetes research in Canada, which has always beenexceptional. After all, insulin, the protein associated with diabetes, wasfirst discovered by Frederick Banting and Charles H. Best in Toronto. Part ofthe proceeds also go towards funding D-camps— camps tailored for kids with type1 diabetes.

Thanksto Shannon’s organizational skills, our Team rounded up enough items to fillseven large boxes —boxes big enough fit our parking kiosks! She made the givingprocess convenient, which often deters people from donating altogether. As oneof our employees put it, “Theinitiative was fantastic. I have lots of clothes and I was very eager to bringthem in to the office and have them taken. This is a very easy way to be acharitable good person”.

Organizing these types of charitable drives areand easy way to bring the Team together while making valuable and importantcontributions to the community. We congratulate Shannon and our Team for makingthis drive such a success and look forward to the next one.

5 Questions You'll Have When Purchasing Parking Pay Stations

Choosing the right parking pay station is a critical decision that impacts revenue, customer experience, operational efficiency, and long-term costs. With multiple system configurations available from gated to metered, pay-on-foot to pay-in-lane, it’s important to evaluate your facility’s needs carefully before investing.

The right parkingpay station gives you the foundation to collect and optimize revenue from yourparking area. When it comes to purchasing decisions, it's important to determine which type of parking pay stations are right for your situation.

Here are five important questions to consider when determine what type of parking system will be a good fit.

1. Gated or metered Parking Pay Stations?

One of the first questionsabout parking pay stations is if the parking lot or garage prefers a meteredor a parking gate system . If you aren’t sure, the question of meteredvs. gated systems typically comes down to short-term vs. long term costs,staffing availability, site layout as well as local zoning restrictions.

Upfront costs for gated systems are higher because they require more equipment (e.g. barrier gates and exit/entry machines) and the installation process is more complex. In terms of hardware, metered systems only require smart parking meters , which keeps equipment and installations costs low.

While payment enforcement is done mechanically through barrier gates in gated systems, enforcement is typically done manually in metered systems. To ensure Parkers aren't staying beyond their allotted time, enforcement officers must check individual cars, and write citations for non-compliant cars. Long term, this drives up labor costs, which cuts into revenue.

2. Varying rate or flat rate?

Flat rate systemsare simpler than varying rate systems and require less equipment (i.e. lesscost). While varying rate system require validation machines at both entry andexit points, flat rate systems only require validation machines at one point.

By chargingParkers according to the amount of time spent in the garage, varying rate systems motivate Parkers to economize their parking time. Flat rate systems don’t do this- a flat rate is charged regardless of parking time. As a result, flat rate systems are suitable for places with high turnover rates (e.g. movie theaters where Parkers naturally spend under two hours) or places with high demand for parking (e.g. downtown restaurant areas) where you can get away with charging a high flat fee.

3. Pay-on-foot or pay-in-lane?

This decisioncomes down to volume: how many cars will be entering your parking garage? Ifthe answer is “many”, you should consider investing in walk-up paymentmachines. These machines reduce congestion at exit lanes by getting Parkers topay on foot before returning to their cars.

There is also the aspect of lot size to consider. Some parking garages may be too small to accommodate POF machines in addition to entry and exit machines. In this case, pay in lane machines where customers pay at the exit lane before leaving the facility are a great space-saving solution.

4. Full or partial automation?

Customers are comforted by seeing attendees at parking garages- there is no way around it. In terms of customer service, having attendees ready to help will always be best. However, owners with semi-automated systems- those in which Parkers pay a cashier- must account for the costs of labor, human error, and at worst, theft.

5. Revenue Generation or access control?

Revenue generation is usually the motivating factor behind parking parking pay station purchases. However, for garage or parking lot owners who don’t wish to generate revenue on-site, there are options that may be with or without access control. With an access control system, pre-authorized Parkers access the parking facility by validating their credential (e.g. RFID card, wind shield sticker or pre-printed barcode) at an access control pedestal. When an authorized credential is presented, the barrier gates open, thus preventing access for unauthorized guests. Parking lots and garages accommodating long-term Parkers such as monthly cardholders, tenants, or employees are suited for this type of system.

Parking lot owners that wish to cater to long-term Parkers and revenue-generating transient Parkers may easily accommodate both situations. Access control readers that validate credentials (e.g access control reader) can be attached to entry/exit machines, and access pedestals can be used in conjunction with full gated systems.

A well-designed fully automated system, on the other hand, can provide a user-friendly experience without incurring these long-term costs.

What Is Parking Control Equipment?

Parking control equipment allows parking lot and garage owners and managers to restrict access to their lot as well as generate revenue. CPA Golf Tournament 2017

Parking BOXX Earns Second Place at the 2017 CPA Golf Tournament

Parking BOXX participated in the 2017 Canadian Parking Association (CPA) Golf Tournament on June 8, at the picturesque Royal Ontario Golf Club. The event was held on a glorious sunny day, the perfect weather for golfing.

Located in the vicinity of the Sixteen Mile Creek River Basin in Milton, Ontario, the Royal Ontario Club is known for its challenging terrain and beautiful layout. Each and every hole provides a unique challenge for its players and allows for an unforgettable golfing experience.

Brad, Duane, Brock and Ken represented Parking BOXX this year and did extremely well. The combined efforts and skills of the Parking BOXX team on this challenging course resulted in success, placing them second overall in the tournament.

As a first-time participant, Ken was quite impressed. He thought the whole event was very well-organized, “They took good care of us, making sure someone came by regularly to supply us with water and snacks.” Having participated in different tournaments before, Ken thoroughly enjoyed his experience at the CPA golfing event with the Parking BOXX team.

CPA hosted a lovely dinner at the end of the tournament for the participants. Some members of the Parking BOXX team went home with fabulous door prizes. Congratulations on your success, team PBOXX!

A Comparison of Costs

In a recent post, we explored the pros and cons of gated versus metered systems , with a focus on costs and revenues. We wrote about how these parking systems compare when it comes to capital costs, maintenance and more, and also how the revenue capture differs.

This post zeros in on the issue of staffing a metered or a gated parking system.

Parking staff represent the most significant ongoing cost for any parking operation . Many parking operators are interested in reducing staff levels, but it’s important to understand how different parking systems facilitate or limit automation.

Staffing Requirements for Gated Parking Systems

A gated parking system is more complex, and traditionally, gated lots have required a constant staff presence. Today, functions typically performed by cashiers - issuing tickets and processing payments - can be fully automated.

That doesn't mean that gated parking facilities run with no human intervention. There are still instances where a parking customer needs assistance. They may have lost or damaged their ticket, or the customer may have an issue with the fee, the parking machines or gates.

In a gated lot or garage, assistance can be provided remotely through video monitoring and telecoms. Instead of having on-site attendants dedicated to a single site, one parking attendant can monitor and provide support to multiple parking lots from a remote parking admin office.

What About Technicians for Maintenance ?

Staff are needed to periodically collect cash payments from the parking payment machines, replace paper in printers and perform other routine tasks. But compared to the cost of staffing a gated parking system with on-site cashiers and attendants, these maintenance costs are negligible.

From a management perspective, a gated system can require more complex administration than a simple metered system. There are more options for payment schedules, validations and monthly parking arrangements than in a metered parking system. These variable rates require some oversight, but can be effectively managed with high-performing parking management software, like EASE .

Staffing Requirements for Metered Parking Systems

Meters have the advantage of being self-serve when it comes to ticketing and payment. Because there are no gates, meter customers are also less likely to encounter issues and require on-site assistance.

Like gated pay-on-foot systems, meters do require staff to collect cash payments from machines periodically, and technicians to maintain the equipment. This labor is, however, not the most significant staffing cost.

If you haven’t read our mega-post on Gated vs. Metered Parking Systems , we’re spoiling the big reveal here. The surprising fact is that over the life of the equipment, meters can be more expensive than gated systems. And it all comes down to enforcement costs .

A significant enforcement presence is essential to a metered parking system. Without enforcement, parking payment non-compliance would take a serious bite out of revenues. Even in areas with compliance rates deemed “high”, and with vigilant enforcement, a significant percent of motorists will not pay their full meter fee.

Today, new enforcement technologies are making enforcement more efficient. Hand-held and vehicle-mounted License Plate Recognition (LPR) technologies help agents scan plates and check for corresponding payments more quickly. In some cases, enforcement officers don’t even need to physically cite vehicles. Instead, photographic image of license plates are sent back to a central processing area, and tickets for confirmed violations can be issued by mail.

Even with these advancements, meter enforcement is a relatively staff-intensive process. Whenever parking fees are in effect at meters, enforcement officers must be present.

Staffing of Metered Parking Systems in Garages: An Exception to the Rule

There is a hybrid parking system that presents an exception. Most parking garages are gated, and most meters are found on street parking. That said, it is possible to use meters in an ungated parking garage and yes, save on staffing costs.

Stationary LPR technology at the entrances and exits to a parking garage can capture infractions automatically, without enforcement staff on site. This LPR system would work in combination with pay-by-plate meters in the garage. As mentioned above, the LPR technology can capture potential violations and after the cases are reviewed centrally, fines can be issued by mail.

At present, this automatic enforcement only works in a garage setting , where traffic necessarily flows through single points of entry and exit.

Why would anyone choose meters in a parking garage? As noted in our longer post, the upfront capital cost of installing meters is lower , as are the warranty and maintenance costs. Some parking garage owners also like the fact that using meters allows for faster flow-through of traffic.

The best of both worlds? Almost. Even LPR technology cannot capture 100% of parking fees, and in that sense doesn’t yet compare with a gated parking system’s secure revenue collection.

Adding Up the Staffing Costs of Parking Systems

If you’ve read our outline of the costs and revenues of metered and gated parking systems , you’ll know that both can yield a very high ROI.

Still, it’s important for anyone considering a metered parking system to be aware that enforcement staffing costs drive up the long-run operational costs. Salaries and benefits far outweigh other ongoing operational costs.

New technologies are introducing automation to metered parking enforcement. In the future, we may find that even on-street meter parking enforcement can be further automated, lowering staff costs and bringing revenue collection closer to that of gated parking systems.

February Fitness Month

While February Fitness Month may not be an officially designated event (we may have made it up), what better time than February to re energize those New Year's resolutions!

If you are like we are, super busy and sitting at your desks WAAAY too many hours, then what would motivate you to get out there and break a sweat? After conversing with a few employees, Parking BOXX learned that gym memberships might just be the key...

Step 1

Question employees on what would incentivize them to lead a healthier lifestyle. Some feedback we received:

having a gym membership near their office
being able to take longer lunches to go to the gym when it is less busy.
being able to start work earlier or end later to accommodate a longer lunch
having a gym membership that would be valid at multiple locations

Step 2

Research the options for local work out venues. We found one gym with locations near multiple offices and other locations near employees' homes.

Step 3

Poll other employees to gage interest.

And here is what we came up with...reimbursing gym memership /join fees and gym monthly fees. Plus, we provided this bit of guidance...
Because people who write down their goals are much more likely to achieve them, we ask that you write down three private goals that you wish to accomplish by going to the gym, such as:

Work out twice per week
Lose x pounds
Fit into my skinny jeans. :)

We also recommend that you keep a quick journal for your personal reference. We suggest for each day you go to the gym, mark down a quick summary, such as “10 mins cardio + upper body circuit” so that you may track your progress! Remember: don’t start off with too much weight! A common mistake is that it feels easy so you overdo it early, which means that you are super sore and less likely to work out in the future. If you don’t regularly work out, ease in slowly!

If you wish to go to the gym during the work day (because the gym is much slower during the day), alternate work schedules may be accommodated. Please discuss options with your manager.

(And, because we love contests and we're all about teambuilding ... ) If anyone can think of a quarterly contest to build around going to the gym, we’re open to suggestions!

HOLIDAY DESK DECORATING CONTEST

Parking BOXX fun during the holiday season - a holiday desk decorating contest, a great way to get your office in the Holiday Spirit! As the end of the year approaches and the days get shorter and colder, getting into the holiday spirit can help brighten everyone’s mood. What better way to celebrate the season with your co-workers than with a fun and festive contest?

Parking BOXX brought on the holiday cheer with the office’s very first Holiday Desk Decorating Contest. Excited by the prospect of bringing fun and merriment into the office, particpants from many locations participated in the contest. Everyone’s creative juices were flowing and the competition was fierce. Some went solo and some alliances between departments were formed. The Parking BOXX workspaces were transformed into a Winter Wonderland; filled with multi-colored lights, shimmering tinsel, mini trees and much more.

Surrounded by decorations and lights and filled with an air of festivity, walking into the office brought a smile to everyone’s faces. All the contestants did an incredible job which made voting for the best a difficult decision indeed. Here are a few of the winning entries:

Back in the factory, the production guys did an amazing job decorating their carts. Blake deserved the win for his creative and handmade reindeer cart. When asked how he came up with such an original idea, Blake replied, "Rick wanted to make his cart a sleigh so I decided to make the reindeer. It was fun," he said with a thumbs up.

With gleaming tinsel and twinkling Christmas lights, Kaydee turned her desk into a sparkling workspace definitely brightening up the office during the dreary winter days. Kaydee also brought in a beautiful and unique handmade tree created out of horseshoes, combining her passion for horses with her welding talents. Kaydee adds, "I think this contest was a great idea. I loved that decorating my desk got others involved in the contest, making the competition more interesting."

The level of creativity was impressive, as shown in the image above, Shannon, one of our winners, made use of her extraordinary crafting ability to embellish her office door.

One of the common themes was using Parking BOXX in the decorations. Jamie went one step further by including her family as well. Using our BOXX blue and her natural artistic talent, Jamie decorated her workspace beautifully with holiday baubles and pictures of her adorable family. Her workstation definitely added to the holiday spirit. Jamie says, "Because Christmastime reminds me of family, I wanted to recreate that feeling at my desk."

Brianna was the grand prize winner by majority vote. Among the myriad of creative and festive desks all, her work station stood out for being the most creatively planned space with additional points for effort and details. From including all the names of employees on stockings hanging on her desk, to the snowball fight between a teddy bear and the Hulk, the title of the grand prize was well-deserved. When I asked what inspired her, Brianna responded, "Winning. Just kidding, Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, so I decided to go with an all-out organized Christmas theme. It was a lot of fun."

Using Parking BOXX gear to decorate was one of the more innovative ideas presented at the contest. Parking BOXX gear such as balls and USB sticks was used as ornaments to decorate a tree, stockings, and a wreath. The combination of Parking BOXX and Christmas provided great results. From Duane: "If I inspired just one other employee to get in the company Christmas spirit, then my goal was achieved, and I didn’t have to drag a lot of stuff in from home. Free ornaments...hooray!"

The winners were presented with prizes at the Parking BOXX holiday lunch on December 20th. Everyone agreed that this contest was an enjoyable way to celebrate the holidays at the office. The whole Parking BOXX family got into the holiday spirit (as evident from the winners pictured in this blog) and certainly outdid themselves. The end goal of celebrating the holidays was definitely achieved.

EMV: THE ANNIVERSARY

Credit card fraud and theft is a significant concern within the parking industry. Breaches occur relatively more often due to the nature of transactions made at most parking facilities. Most parking lots or garages use credit cards as the main form of payment where credit card fraud is on the rise especially in the United States. Although, the introduction of EMV has dramatically changed the landscape of payment methods globally; the United States has been slow to embrace this shift in technology. EMV, an acronym for Europay, Mastercard and Visa, is a credit or debit card embedded with added security that requires the use of PIN code. EMV within the parking industry is also known as “chip and PIN” cards. EMV enabled parking solutions use a smart chip instead of magnetic stripe to hold the pertinent data required for transactions. EMV in parking provides a more secure alternative to cards with magnetic stripes - cards with magnetic stripes are easy to clone, therefore, more vulnerable to fraud.

The United States began its transition to EMV cards a year ago to provide consumers with more secure payment options in the wake of rising rates of credit card fraud. Almost one year later, the transition has faced its share of predicaments.

The implementation of EMV technology has been slower than anticipated. The Strawhecker Group (TSG), a management consulting company, recently released the results of the recent survey that approximated only 44% of US merchants have EMV terminals and that only 29% of the merchants with EMV terminals are able to accept EMV “chip & PIN” transactions

While the parking industry will benefit from the secure payment solutions provided by EMV parking technology, transitioning to this new technology will present a few challenges:

Cost to upgrade or replace is high – most merchants will need to upgrade or replace their POS systems, and many small lot owners may not want to absorb the cost
of replacing their current systems to EMV.
Time – transaction time using EMV cards is more time consuming thanswiping magnetic stripe cards resulting in longer payment times.

PARKING BOXX GOES TO THE RACES

Select members of the Parking BOXX team gathered for a team building event at the Mohawk Racetrack and Casino. This is a harness racing track, which is a form of racing where horses race at a specific gait (“trot” or “pace”) while pulling a two-wheeled vehicle and driver (a sulky). This is a 7/8 mile track made of crushed limestone.

For many attendees, this was their first time at the races. More experienced attendees explained how odds worked, how to place bets, but the newbies didn't have any troubles cheering for their favorites. It was interesting to learn about the betting process and definitely thrilling to watch the races live - and watch our horses win!

CANADIAN PARKING ASSOCIATION GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Canadian Parking Association (CPA) hosted their annual golf tournament at the beautifully designed Royal Ontario Golf Club on June 9, 2016. Team Parking BOXX (Doug, Brad, Duane & Brock) represented us very well -- both with their play and style! The team joined other members of the local parking industry to participate in the tournament. The tournament was held on a picture-perfect summer day in Milton, Ontario.

The Royal Ontario Golf Club boasts rolling greens, excellent fairways and a challenging course. The Parking BOXX team managed to shoot a bogey free 6 under 66 in scramble format golf with each member of the team contributing to the effort. In a field of 10 teams, Parking BOXX tied for first but was delegated to second in retrogression format scoring.

At the end of the tournament, a delicious buffet dinner for the participants was provided by the CPA. The organizers also produced a first-rate door-prize draw table where 3 of the team members managed to win some great prizes. A great time was had by all. Congratulations to the Parking BOXX team on your success!

On April 9, 2016, the 7th Milton Scouts organized a drive to collect and safely dispose of and recycle E-waste. Items included but were not limited to computers, printers, old cell phones, batteries and televisions. As part of our sustainability initiative, BOXX donated an array of electronics to the Annual Electronics E-waste Collection, on behalf of one of our employee’s son and scout, Drake Foden.

The funds raised from this event went towards helping with operating costs and equipment maintenance for the troop. Patient Experience Extends into Hospital Parking System

Your hospital receives solid patient satisfaction ratings so your hospital parking system can wait for your attention, right? Wrong. A new study reports that people over the age of 65 judge healthcare facilities by the condition and ease of use of hospital parking systems. Surprisingly, seniors consider the hospital parking facility as the key indicator of the first impression, second only to the lobby. That means that when a senior patient enters the grounds of your facility they aren’t looking at the landscaping or the buildings, they are judging the hospital by the parking system. For them, the patient experience extends through the door and out to the curb.

These are not your “grandmother’s” senior citizens; they are active and knowledgeable.

This finding could be discouraging, given the priority placed on staff training and hospital environments to improve patient satisfaction. However, it is a very useful insight into human nature and how it impacts your bottom line. How many times have you judged a business by its appearance? It’s easy to assume that a dusty store with a crumbling curb sells low quality merchandise, whereas a newly painted store with awnings must sell expensive merchandise. They are online, shop for healthcare and research what ails them. Today’s seniors want what we all want, convenience and ease of use. 3. Using a credit card to pay is fine but it must be visible at all times. If the machine ingests the card during use, that is a cause for worry.

Why do these findings matter? Seniors are revenue.

Seniors are the fastest growing percentage of the population in the United States and Canada. They represent the majority of your patient population and are vocal influencers with friends and family. The seniors who participated in this study were well-educated, with medium to high income. That means they are a microcosm of the seniors your hospital has to attract if you are to grow your bottom line.

Conclusion:

In short, don’t park your parking facility at the bottom of your administrative dashboard. The largest part of your patient population considers hospital parking systems to be part and parcel of the patient experience. That’s why both of them demand your attention.
